Typical abbreviations used on my webpages or attached documents/data are:
a - date of apprenticeship
botp (otp). both (of this parish) at time of marriage
c - date of christening/baptism (Note: b. is avoided due to potential confusion with "birth")
C17th (example) - 17th century, i.e. 1600-1699
d - date of death
m - date of marriage
n - date of birth (natus)
+ date of burial
= marriage pairing
Family names should always be in BLOCK CAPITALS
International date convention - dd.mm.yyyy
Chapman UK County Codes are used, i.e. STS = Staffs, WAR = Warwickshire, etc.
International country codes are also used.
2xGGP is Great Great Grandparents (I have one or two 12xGGPs).
GGM, GGM; Great Grandmother/father, etc.
