Seeking ancestry of my 3xGGM
Hannah TUCKER
who married Job
WHITEHOUSE
by 1812 somewhere in the Staffordshire, West
Midlands/Birmingham area and lived in Tipton. Also seeking Job &
Hannah’s wedding, not found in Dudley, Tipton or West
Bromwich. She was born about 1790.
TUCKER is the name given on
her youngest child's BC, which is the only one that falls within
the period GR. Her father's name is recorded as James (but
incorrectly as WHITEHOUSE, Boat loader) upon her second marriage
to George SHAW in 1855 Tipton. No James TUCKER or family
has been found. It is possible Hannah may be illegitimate to
explain the use of TUCKER (which would be her mother's name), but
also that she may be the Ann WHITEHOUSE who married a Job
WHITEHOUSE in 1806 Rowley Regis. Ann & Hannah are often
interchangeable. Otherwise, an error by the incumbent is likely.
On 18 Nov 1792 at Tipton, a
James WHITEHOUSE married a Rebekah TUCKER.
