How You Can Help

  • Send us details of your family tree so we can find out how you're linked, to whom, and how far back

  • Note any occurrence of the names in your local area to help complete the bigger picture

  • Send details of any current or extracted Birth, Marriage, Death certificates and census information containing key family details

  • Contact some of the "unknowns" in your area (primarily these are the many families of SHILVOCK in the Black Country of England and those in Queensland, Australia)

If you are sufficiently interested to be involved in actual research the following tasks have yet to be completed;

  • UK Indices for Registered Births, Marriages & Deaths:

    • From 1967-2006: GRO Births for all variants outside of the W. Midlands BMD area

    • From 1956-2006: GRO Deaths for all variants outside of the W. Midlands BMD area

    • From 1956-2006: GRO Marriages for all variants outside of the W. Midlands BMD area

    • Shropshire church registers and indices in any detail (at Shrewsbury records office)
      Ruyton XI Towns 1719-1905 (B), 1719-1974 (Bur), 1719-1961 (M), 1754-1980 (banns)

    • Any church records in an area inhabited by families to help build family links

    • Any extracted information from UK Census, particularly 1891, 1901 & 1910 (when available)
