My possible 7xGGPs are Joseph SMITH & Susanna BROOM, d/o Nicholas BROOM.

The BROOMs of Tuxford appear to have been in the village for a long period, with unconnected references prior to the connected family:

Nicholas BROOM m. Bridget MORRIS in Nov 1664 (my 9x GGPs). Children include:

• Nicholas BROOM (c1665), m. Elizabeth WARRINER/WARRENER (c1663) in 1684 Tuxford (my 8xGGPs). Children:

  • Joseph BROOM (1686);

  • Mary BROOM (1688);

  • Richard BROOM (1691);

  • Robert BROOM (1693), m. Mary MILLARD in 1720. Children include:

    • Susannah BROOM (1721);

  • Nicholas BROOM (1700);

  • Susannah BROOM (1700), above, my 7xGGM;

  • Jacob BROOM (1703)
